The IndieInspireCO.

These ideas are for parties that not only allow you to have fun, but that offer a nonchalant approach to marketing your business. For each party include some of your business in the setting, invitations, gifts, etc. For example.....on your invitations put the words....."hosted by" before inserting your logo.

It's a great way to meet with friends, have lots of girly fun and keep your talents in the forefront of everyone's mind.

Get your groove back: Base this party on the wonderful movie “How Stella Got Her Groove Back”. Play games that focus on the fun things your guests have done (including the ones they might be a little ashamed of) through their lives. A great idea would be to have index cards, each listing age groups (i.e., teens, 20’s, 30’s, 40’s). Each guest will fill out one line of the index card with their goofiest memory from that age. Afterwards, everyone will vote on which memory was the best (or most outrageous) and the winner from each age group will receive a gift.

Cleopatra: Another great theme indicating a great female presence in history! If you think guests would be up for it, make it a costume party, or suggest guests where “Cleopatra-inspired” makeup. Make party favors that symbolize pyramids or cats, and maybe a attach a passage from Shakespeare’s Antony and Cleopatra.

Spa-licious: Every woman needs some pampering, if not every night, every once in a while. So, why not indulge in a swanky spa setting? Choose a spa activity, such as a facial and let the girls pamper themselves before having a glass of wine with friends. A fun idea is to give a spa token as a parting gift, such as an eye mask, hair towel, etc. Include a quote on the gift to inspire the women to indulge more often!

You are so BeauTEAful: Throw a tea-themed party that lets your guests know just how special they are while taking part in a time-honored tradition. Give each guest an inexpensive teacup (you can purchase these at most dollar stores) stuffed with a packet of tea. To give more options, let guests choose from cups stuffed with different types of tea, such as a morning, evening or energy brew.

Romantic’s Book Club: Perfect for those groups of women who love to read! Pick up a few Silhouette Novels and give as gifts, get bookplates from your local bookstore and write a small thank-you note inside. Play games that include favorite literature such as Romeo and Juliet or modern romance. There’s no better way to break the ice than to collaborate on favorite heroes and romances!

Art-Inspired Divas: Introduce your guests at the door wearing a painter’s smock. Hand out colored pencils or paintbrushes for a gift. For an exercise, let each guest paint a 5x7 canvas (available at most local craft stores for an affordable price) that shows their “inspiration”. Other great ideas include scrapbooking, stamping and collage art. Art can be a fantastic way to remove inhibitions and liven up any crowd!
